Fostering Faithfully feeds families often! Foster families have many appointments, therapies, visits to manage, home visitors, kids’ activities, and paperwork to manage. We love providing a meal, sometimes through a caterer and sometimes by sending a gift card to simplify life for that day anyway.

How They Arrive

Foster children don’t all arrive sobbing and hysterical, despite what’s sometimes shared. Many times foster children arrive remarkably NORMAL, despite what they’ve been through. They talk, laugh, play, enjoy the new attention of the family and run and explore their new home. Of course, some cry. Who wouldn’t? Welcoming a new child always involves some unsettled feelings of what it may be like, though mostly our first days have been just fine in our 40 placements I share about in this blog.
