Oconee Foster Mom has Special Thanksgiving Visitors!

Many years ago we accepted placement of precious twins from the hospital as newborns. They were adopted at 3 years old. The adoptive mom always sent me Mother's Day cards and Christmas cards over the years. I made a photo album book for them when they left, and they talk fondly of looking through it. Their mother was open about the adoption, and we saw them a year after they were adopted.

When they turned fifteen, they found us again. Over the years since then, we have enjoyed keeping in contact with the sisters. It is amazing the little things they remember when they lived with us, “Even over a decade later they remember simple things like eating spaghetti, playing with toys in my living room, swimming in our pool, and enjoying my molasses cookies,” Martha, Oconee foster mom.

At Thanksgiving this year,  one of the sisters came to visit to introduce us to her fiancé. We are so happy for them, and feel so blessed to see these girls thriving as adults.
