A Soft Place to Land

Sometimes support looks like meeting a child exactly where they are. Thanks to your generosity we recently purchased a crash pad for a child with autism and sensory needs. For children who seek sensory input, a crash pad can provide a soft, safe place to jump, land, move, and regulate their bodies when they are feeling overwhelmed or simply need extra sensory input.

It may look like a simple piece of equipment, but for this child and family, it can be a practical tool that helps create a home environment where their unique needs are understood and supported.

This is what Fostering Faithfully loves to do. We listen to what a family needs and help provide tangible support that makes caring for a child just a little easier. 💙

A note from foster mom: “Thank you for the crash pad. J  has a diagnosis of ADHD/autism and with his sensory seeking behavior this helps calms down with deep compression and “heavy work" that soothes him. Today, we received the crash pad and immediately unboxed it to use it in occupational therapy minutes later. We had significantly less meltdowns after we brought the crash pad out and were able to utilize it in therapy on the same day!” -B, Pickens Foster Mom
